Wireless ac1750 based routers from different vendors have been around for a while and Dlink 868L is one them. Previously Dlink offered wireless ac router that is designed specifically for gamers in mind – DGL5500 wireless ac1300 with StreamBoost Traffic Shaping Engine for gaming traffic prioritization. All the three routers come with the same wireless ac1750 latest wifi technology delivering speeds of up to 450Mbps in 2.4GHz band and up to 1300Mbps in 5GHz band. However Dlink and Linksys are designed with internal antennas, Asus is designed with three external antennas.
Dlink with Smartbeam and Asus with AiRadar technology have similar feature to enhanced the wifi connection experiences, solid connection, lock and focus to the wifi clients. Mostly all high performance wireless ac routers today come with beamforming technology for solid clients connection.
Dlink 868L comes with one USB 3.0 port which is ten times much faster than USB 2.0 port, but the other two routers come with two USB 2.0 ports. One more feature for AC66U that the other two routers doesn’t support is the 3G/4G share support to allow you create the wifi internet network when the Cable or DSL services are not available, ideal in an impromptu situations such as in outdoor activities.
