TP-link RE650 Wireless AC2600 Range Extender

TP-link RE650 is a wireless AC2600 range extender with 4×4 MU-MIMO and beamforming technology extending range up to 12,000 sq ft.

Need range extender

With the introductions of home mesh wifi system such as Eero, Google and also TP-link Deco M5 and still more which is becoming technology trend in home wifi system, you cannot just get rid of your investment in home wireless routers. So that’s why to extend the range you require a wireless range extender to place between the wireless router range and the dead zone you need to cover.

Like other networking vendors, TP-link introduces new wireless ac range extender – the TP-link RE650 with wall plug model for easy placement.

What this product does

With your existing high performance wireless ac routers such as TP-link Archer C2600 which is based on AC2600 wifi network segment, Nighthawk X4s and Linksys EA8500 wireless AC2600 router with the same network segment you can add TP-link RE650 for best performance should you require covering the dead zone. Even though you can add RE650 to any wireless routers that works in various network segment, adding RE650 to higher speed is better. TP-link RE650 is a universal range extender.

RE650 is designed based on 4×4 MU-MIMO, 4 streams of multi user MIMO technology delivering data speeds of up to 800Mbps @2.4Ghz plus up to 1,733Mbps @5Ghz dual band simultaneously. It sends data to multiple devices concurrently to reduce network latency like traditional non MU-MIMO based devices.

4x antennas

With the addition of 4x fixed external antennas with beamforming and MU-MIMO technologies, this range extender technically can cover up to 14,000 sq ft. Compare with mesh wifi system in general, you can mention Orbi gives you range coverage up to 4,000 sq ft for router and satellite. And for wall plug model – Orbi router with wall plug satellite covers up to 3,500 sq ft technically.
