Even though the Orbi CBR750 can work stand alone without a satellite (Orbi mesh range extender), for a spacious home where with a standard wifi router you still need one or more wireless range extenders, the Cbr750 should be paired with one or more Orbi rbs750 to form a simultaneous dual band mesh ax4200 wifi-6 network with one of its 5GHz radio bands used as dedicated backhaul.

Orbi Cbk752

For production code Orbi Cbk752, the box consists of Orbi Cbr750 plus one Orbi rbs750 which can technically cover up to 5,000 sq ft. either cbr750 or rbs750 can technically cover up to 2,500 sq ft. If for home size of around 2,500 sq ft it is better to use the Nighthawk cax80 which is also a dual band ax6000 wifi-6 router.

If your connected devices are still based on wireless ac, you can also use similar model such as the Arris Surfboard sbg8300 or Motorola mg8702 wireless ac router with built-in DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem. And when need larger coverage; you can add one of most popular wifi range extenders in the market such as TP-link RE315 ac1200 or Asus rp-ax1800 range extender.
