Netgear RAX80 Nighthawk AX8 vs Asus AX6000 Wi-Fi Router

Netgear introduces Nighthawk AX8 wifi ax6000 router delivering ultra fast total wifi speeds up to 6Gbps speeds, up to 1.2Gbps based on 4×4 (Tx/Rx) 1024 QAM 40MHz @2.4Ghz band plus up to 4.8Gbps based on 4×4 (Tx/Rx) 1024 QAM 160MHz @5Ghz band. This high speed Netgear Rax80 is ideal for connecting more than 20 high speed devices. At the same time Asus also releases Asus RT-AX6000 router with nearly the same features as Netgear.
If you compared with previous wireless AD standard you can find that the wireless AD devices work @60Ghz band which both router and client devices must be in line of sight. In addition of wifi speeds, Nighthawk AX8 is embedded with 6x Gigabit ports for high speed wired connection to allow you connect Gigabit Ethernet-based devices including Desktop, Game console and more.
When the requirement of high bandwidth wired connection you can aggregate two Gigabit ports for ultra high speed Gigabit link to allow you connect to high speed NAS or something.

Netgear Rax80 Nighthawk Ax8 is designed with nice looking U body, the two side wings can be folded for easy packing. This product is dual band high speed wireless AX6000 to support more than 20 devices at home, it is tagged with the price around $399.99 at the first time it was released in the market.
Nighthawk AX8 vs Asus AX6000
Besides Nighthawk Ax8, Asus introduces similar product – the Asus RT-AX88U wireless ax6000 router. Another similar model of wireless ax6000 router is also introduced by TP-link – TP-link Archer AX6000 router.
Both Nighthawk Ax8 (aka Netgear Ax80) and Asus RT-Ax6000 are based on the same wifi 6 technology delivering the same wifi speeds up to 6,000Mbps dual band simultaneously.
Ax8 offers 6x Gigabit Ethernet ports that support two Ethernet aggregation link for higher speed. on the other hand Asus RT-AX88U comes with more ports – 8x Gigabit LAN ports and 1x WAN port.
Nighthawk Ax8 is embedded with two USB 3.0 ports, while Asus Ax88U is embedded with two USB 3.1 type 1 ports – the faster USB port than USB 3.0.
Another difference is the inclusion of lifetime free AiProtection Pro powered by Trend Micro for data and devices protection against any internet threats. This protection engine is automatically updated its security signature.
Asus RT-AX88U is tagged with lower price than Netgear Ax80, it’s around $339.99 in Amazon.
