What this product does
At a glance physically we see the three Netgear rax80, rax120 and rax200 models having the same physical design, flat body with two antenna wings on the left and right side. These two left-right antenna wings contain 4x high power internal antennas for rax80 and 8x high power internal antennas for both rax120 and rax200.
When you compare the antenna design by TP-link, it looks physically different which TP-link AX11000 is packed with 8 external antenna pillars spread symmetrically on all four sides of the body. Looks fierce like a spider, compared to a graceful-looking design offered by Netgear.
The similarity is in the antenna wings and port interfaces, the number of gigabit Ethernet ports (all models are embedded with 5 ports) and also 2 USB 3.0 ports.
Unlike Netgear rax80 and rax120, Netgear rax200 is designed with three band wifi6 technology delivering combined speeds of up to 10.8Gbps (1.2Gbps @2.4Ghz + 4.8Gbps @5Ghz band1 and 4.8Gbps @5Ghz band2). It comes with 12 wifi streams with 160MHz support, ready for future mobile devices with 160Mhz support. This router can be quadrupled of your aging wireless N / wireless ac router and even more.
You’ll find performance of this product descent out of the box, especially when it’s matching with the ax client too. No wifi drops, no buffering, no stuttering during video streaming and online gaming, testing with 20 devices found no issues.
