Netgear vs Ubiquiti
Now let’s compare this product Netgear EX7500 (aka Nighthawk x4s) mesh wifi extender with its competing product offered by Ubiquiti – the Ubiquiti Amplifi mesh point HD which is typically paired with its router Ubiquiti Amplifi HD home wifi system.
See on the following spec comparison table between the two products. Ubiquiti is originally paired to Ubiquiti amplify home wifi system for much better performance. However, you may also connect to any third party wireless router, same as what you can do with Nighthawk.
Nighthawk is a three band mesh extender with one of its band is dedicated for backbone connection to the router and the other two band is dedicated for clients. Ubiquiti doesn’t work like that, no dedicated link.
Another difference is the number of band each of the product offered. Nighthawk x4s is a three band while Ubiquiti is a two band mesh point. Technically Nighthawk x4s is more superior than Ubiquiti.
