Meshforce released another model following its success of the Meshforce M1 series, the Meshforce m3 with two M3 dots, and Meshforce M3s suite (three packs of M3). All of those models are polished in pearl white, and now Meshforce is releasing another M3s suite with midnight black.

What this product does?

The question for the first time Meshforce m3s midnight black model was released was what is the main difference with the white m3s? Technically there is no difference except that the color of the casing becomes midnight black which looks beautiful to be part of your home decor. And the price is $10 more expensive than the white M3s.

With midnight black m3s can cover your large house from the ground floor to your second floor with simultaneous dual band with ac1200 (867Mbps @5GHz + 300Mbps @2.4GHz), and you can combine it with all series Meshforce m1, Meshforce m3 and m3 dot. The two Ethernet ports on each unit you can connect either as a WAN port on the modem side or LAN ports as a satellite point / extender.

M3s vs Deco S4 vs Rock Space

Meshforce is confident with its success in the previous models of Meshforce m3s suite and the excellent rated in Amazon, so that’s why the price is tagged a bit higher than the M3s white model. Can this M3s suite compete with other models? Let’s take TP-link Deco S4 which the price is now tagged cheaper than it was before and also compare it with new comer Rock Space mesh wifi.

TP-link Deco S4 is another Deco series in low end products in addition of Deco high end series in wifi-6 technology such as TP-link Deco X20 ax1800 mesh wifi, and the top one is TP-link Deco X60 ax3000 mesh wifi system. Soon, TP-link is releasing latest Deco X90 ax6000 mesh wifi system.

These three products are designed to work on AC1200 network segment, with speeds up to 867mbps @ 5ghz radio band and up to 300Mbps @ 2.4Ghz radio band. All the three products also support 2×2 MU-MIMO so that technically they can send two data streams to two devices at once if there are two devices with MU-MIMO speed of 400Mbps.

Most wireless adapters in the market are wifi adapters with MU-MIMO ac1200 such as TP-link Archer T3u. This means it is the same, if there are two of your computers with each Archer t3u adapter, then the three routers above respond by sending one data stream @ speed 867Mbps to one device only. Except the three mesh routers M3s, Deco S4 and Rock space are based ac2200 2×2 MU-MIMO, or wifi-6 router with ax3000 and supports 2×2 MU-MIMO eg Huawei ax3000 or Netgear rax40 ax3000, the router will send two data streams @ speed up to 867Mbps to two MU-MIMO devices (such as TP-link Archer T3u) concurrently at a time.

So with AC1200 speed, 2×2 MU-MIMO feature will not have much effect if the connection to the ac1200 wifi adapter with MU-MIMO, data will be sent one stream @ 867Mbps to one device at the same time.

Mostly all the three products have the same spec and features including the same Gigabit Ethernet interfaces either WAN / LAN ports, the coverage is also the same around 4,500 ~ 5,500 sq ft up to 6 bedrooms.
