Meshforce M3 vs Linksys Velop
Meshforce is a whole home mesh product that since its appearance hit the market with a very good rating in several online shops such as Amazon. Very good performance makes this product get a very good customer rating in Amazon. How is the performance when compared to other products? This time we compare meshforce m3 vs linksys velop.
First of all we’ll briefly discuss this product and also Linksys velop before comparing the two products so that we have a good understanding about each of the two products.
What this Meshforce M3 does
Physically there are no changes, designed with a cube shape with a charming white color that can add decoration where you place it. Mehforce m3 comes with M3 dot as a very practical mesh extender with a wall plug model.
Meshforce M1 vs M3
Meshforce m3 is not much different from its first generation product – Meshforce m1, it’s just that Meshforce m3 is designed with better performance with Gigabit Ethernet interface than previous product which is still 100Mbps. Of course this gives a significant impact when you connect it with a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem that uses a Gigabit Ethernet port. If previously M1 with 100 Mbps could not provide an optimal transfer rate with your cable modem that supports Gigabit connections. M3 is upgraded with Gigabit WAN/LAN ports connection, so the data transfer rate between the router and modem is optimal for internet services with wide bandwidth plans, so there is no bottleneck.
The following is a brief summary of the three mesh force products, the original Meshforce M1 model and the two newest models Meshforce M3 and M3 Dot as mesh extenders.

Note in table 1 briefly that the main meshforce m1 vs m3 difference is the Gigabit Ethernet port on M3, replacing 100Mbps on M1.

Before comparing meshforce m3 vs Linksys velop we briefly discuss Linksys velop products first.
If we learn that Linksys Velop almost has similar products to meshforce (with meshforce m1, m3 and m3 dot extender). Linksys develop in principle there are really only three models, it’s just that technically there are fundamental differences. 3 Velop models
Technically linksys velop can be divided into three models, namely:
- Velop AC1300 (WHW0101)
- Velop AC2200 (WHW0301)
- Velop wall-plug satellite (WHW0101P)
Velop AC1300 and Velop ac2200 have fundamental differences. The velop WHW0101 is designed with dual band AC1300 with speeds of up to 867Mbps @ 5GHz band and @ 2.4GHz band speed up to 400Mbps.
While the AC2200 velop was designed by adding another 5 GHz band to 3 bands with speeds up to 2200 Mbps (400 + 867 + 867 Mbps).

Another one whose function is similar to meshforce m3 dot is linksys Velop wall plug (WHW0101P). This wall plug model is designed dual band ac1300 but is not equipped with an Ethernet port like the M3 Dot.
Meshforce vs Linksys Velop
By understanding the meshforce and Linksys Velop products we can now compare the two models of these wifi mesh systems. Meshforce is only dual band, while Linksys velop there are either dual or tri-band models.
Look at the following table 3 below, M3 is feasible compared to Velop AC1300 because it is the same a dual band model as meshforce m3, while the ac2200 velop is different class.
From the wifi design speed @ 5ghz band is the same but there is a difference in the speed at the @ 2.4Ghz band. Antenna design is also different, there are three high power antennas on velop ac1300 while velop ac2200 has 6 antennas. Compare with the antenna design on meshforce m3 which only has 2 internal antennas.
The range of the M3 and Velop AC1300 is the same, a bit wider for the Linksys Velop ac2200. For support being able to integrate with Alexa Meshforce is still in progress, while Linksys velop has been able to support Alexa for voice control. M3 Dot vs Velop
Both the meshforce m3 dot and Linksys velop wall plug (WHW0101P) function the same as the mesh extender to increase coverage, simply plugging into the power outlet on the wall, it should be noted that each can only be connected to each meshforce or velop router, they don’t work universally.
Here is a comparison table of meshforce m3 vs linksys velop extender with a wall plug model. Technically, of course the Linksys velop wall plug model is higher speed @ 2.4Ghz band, and also its range is also slightly wider.

Technically, Linksys velop both AC1300 model and AC2200 model including the wall plug extender model are different from meshforce and Linksys velop models are more superior technically. However in the real world, with differences in prices, customer satisfaction will differ in assessing valuations.
