Velop mx10 vs Orbi

You may compare with similar product that was earlier released by Netgear – Orbi rbk852 wifi 6 mesh wifi system, we see that Velop mx10 does not use a dedicated backhaul as in Orbi does. Orbi uses one of the @ 5Ghz wifi ax bands as a dedicated backhaul while the other two bands are exclusively for clients. MX10 uses all the three bands for both users and links between nodes.

Velop mx10 vs Asus

If you compare with Asus rt-ax92u we see that Asus uses WiFi 6 @ 5GHz band with bandwidth of up to 4.8GHz used dedicatedly for backhaul and wifi ax-based clients, the other two bands @ 2.4GHz band with speed of 400Mbps and 867Mbps @ 5GHz WiFi AC is used specifically for clients.

If all connected clients are ac1200 based, of course with Asus it will be ineffective considering the 4.8Gbps bandwidth is specifically used for backhaul link. Note the bandwidth differences each band, with MX10 all clients can optimize their connections to the Mx10 WiFi 6 mesh WiFi system while the highest clients connection to Asus is at 867Mbps speed.
