Linksys MR7350 AX1800 Router vs Archer vs D-link

For the needs of a small to medium home wifi network, a wireless router with a range of up to 2,000 sq ft is sufficient for standard internet connection needs such as browsing, social media, and so on.

However, for the needs of heavy duty applications such as online gaming, 4k video streaming, standard wireless router is not sufficient, try wireless ax router. Linksys introduces the Linksys Mr7350 wireless ax1800 router which can cover up to 1,700sq ft for up to 20 connected devices. We’ll compare this product with TP-link Archer ax20 and D-link ax1500 wifi 6 routers.

Linksys Mr7350

Comes with only two external antennas, this product is like a standard two streams wireless router in general. Linksys is targetting to compete with other ax1800 routers in the market today.

Mr7350 vs Mr9600

In addition of Linksys mr9600 mesh wifi 6 router, Linksys offers the lower speed of mr7350 mesh wifi 6 router which the speed is half the speed of mr9600. Phisically you can also recognize them different, mr9600 that comes with four external antennas while the mr7350 comes with two external antennas.

The density of connected devices is also different off course, mr9600 offers twice (+40 devices) as much connected devices as MR7350 (20+). The number of USB ports is also different, mr9600 offers two USB 3.0 ports, while mr7350 only has one USB 3.0 port.

When compared to the wireless ac1200 router based on 5th wifi technology, of course the ax1500 or wifi ax1800 routers provide more capacity and speed compared with wifi 6 technology and more importantly still backward compatible with your current device (802.11b/g/n/ac).

Wifi ax1500 and wifi ax1800 routers only different in speed @2.4GHz radio band, ax1500 delivers speed up to 300Mbps @2.4GHz while ax1800 is up to 600Mbps. Speed @5GHz band is the same using 2×2 MU-MIMO 4 streams up to 1200Mbps. Both Linksys mr7350 and Archer ax20 is based on ax1800, while D-link is ax1500. This mr7350 is designed with intelligent mesh technology so you can combine with other Linksys mesh products including Velop to crete while home mesh wifi. But Archer and D-link don’t support mesh system.

Port Interfaces

Wifi 6 routers at ax1500 and ax1800 network segment mostly come with standard 5x Gigabit ethernet ports, 1x WAN and 4x LAN port. However with USB port interface most come with 1x USB port, but D-link ax1500 doesn’t come with USB port.
