Linksys EA6500 Cisco Connect Cloud Vs Others
New generations of Linksys EA6500 wireless ac routers – simultaneous dual band gigabit with Cisco Connect Cloud technology. How it compares with other wireless ac routers?
With the introduction of the 5th generation of wifi technology, all the networking vendors are competing in producing wireless devices based on this new trend – the fastest wifi technology ever. You would be amazed how the speeds of legacy wireless b/g based devices with maximum bandwidth up to 54Mbps jump up to the speeds of 1350Mbps theoretically. It is a fantastic speed of how fast the evolution of the wifi technology leaps from the 1st generation to the 5th generation of wifi technology.
It is the first product Linksys ever released to the market based on wireless ac technology, later Linksys offers various models of wireless ac routers including EA6300 wireless ac1200; EA6400 wireless ac1600 and the fastest one is new Linksys EA6800 wireless ac1900 router. at the same period, Netgear also introduced R6300 wireless ac router; and Buffalo also introduced WZR-D1800H and still more vendors introduced the same technology. How this first Linksys wireless ac router compare with others?
Have a look at the following comparison table, comparing only the main features of these routers.

Wireless ac based
All the three routers come with the same wireless AC1700 technology delivering the speeds of up to 1300Mbps in 5GHz band – the wifi speeds that close to the wired gigabit speed, and up to 450Mbps in 2.4GHz band. All of them come with internal antenna arrays.
Like other previous models of each of the routers, they all come with gigabit Ethernet ports for LAN and WAN interfaces, general spec like other wireless routers. And the three routers also come with USB ports. Linksys EA6500 and Netgear R6300 come with two USB 2.0 ports for hosting storage and printer at the same time, but D1800 comes only with one USB port. They support DLNA media server.
The new version of EA6900 and R7000 come with USB 3.0 port which delivers the speeds 10x faster than normal USB 2.0 port.
