Linksys introduces newer model of cable modem router with wifi product – the CG7500. It is a wireless ac1900 router with built-in DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem. How is it compared with Arris Surfboard SBG6900?

What this product does

Building a wireless network in home is typically consisting cable modem and is connected to wireless router. Setting up a cable modem with a wireless router is preference knowing that you can upgrade your aging wireless router later to the latest model that delivers faster wifi speed with multiple bands like those wireless three band AC routers such as TP-link AC3200 and Linksys EA9200 routers.




 

High speed

Linksys CG7500 is built using wireless AC1900 technology delivering wifi speeds of up to 1300Mbps @5Ghz band and up to 600Mbps @2.4Ghz band. It is similar with those wireless AC1900 routers such as D-link 878 MU-MIMO router, or Linksys EA7500 and TP-link AC1900 routers.

Moreover, the built-in cable modem is DOCSIS 3.0 with 24x channel bonding downstream (up to 960Mbps) and 8x channel bonding upstream (up to 240Mbps). Very fast internet download speed ideal for any blast or premium cable plans. It has similar speeds as those 24/8 cable modems such as Linksys CM3024 cable modem or Netgear CM600 DOCSIS 3 cable modem.
