Linksys e8450 is designed to work at ax3200 network segment, and will compete with middle class of wifi-6 routers available in the market so far including Asus rt-ax3000 wifi-6 router which receives excellent customer rated so far in Amazon, and the other one is TP-Link Archer ax50 ax3000 wifi-6 router.

Technically all the three wifi-6 routers deliver the same speed @5GHz up to 2,400Mbps, while the speed @2.4GHz e8450 delivers the highest speed up to 800Mbps.

Port interfaces

Unlike mesh wifi-6 routers which are generally only equipped with 2 ports, one WAN Ethernet port and one Ethernet LAN port, although some models of mesh wifi-6 router such as new comer Meshforce m7 or Azores ax1800, traditional wifi routers are generally equipped mostly with five Ethernet LAN ports. All of the three products here come with the same 5x Gigabit WAN/LAN Ethernet ports.

In addition of Ethernet ports, they also come with USB port, even though different types.

Like Asus rt-ax3000 that supports latest WPA3 security encryption, Linksys ax3200 also supports WPA3, while Archer ax3000 doesn’t feature the latest WPA3 security encryption. What makes Asus rt-ax3000 / rt-ax58u different with the other two products is that Asus comes with free lifetime AiProtection network security protection powered by Trend Micro, yes free. You can compare with TP-link Archer ax3000 (Archer ax50) that also comes with TP-Link Home Care security services you need to subscribe annually.
