D-link X6060 AX6000 Wifi6 Router vs Archer vs Linksys
After releasing the previous d-link dir-x5460 ax5400 wifi-6 router series, d-link adds another wifi-6 router series that works on almost the same network segment, the d-link dir-6060 ax6000 wifi-6 router. How will this product compete with similar products offered by tp-link archer ax90 and Linksys mr9600?
D-link has previously released the D-link dir-x5460; a dual band wifi-6 router that works on the ax5400 network segment with a sturdy body and it comes with 6x external antennas. This product has a fairly good market acceptance in the midst of competition for middle-class wifi-6 router products including the tp-link archer ax6000 and also the Linksys ax6000 router mr9600.
D-link ax6000 vs ax54000
Now d-link has released another similar product, d-link dir-x6060, which is an additional series from the previous dir-x5460 series and of course there are few differences between these two series. What are the differences between these two D-link series, please refer to the spec comparison table between the two products below.
D-link increases the bandwidth of this new series compared to the previous d-link dir-x5460 ax5400 series with wider bandwidth to ax6000 with 8-streams 4×4 MU-MIMO and of course more devices can be connected. With 8-streams design of course the antenna design is also different to becomes 8 external antennas (4x Tx and 4x rx).
High speed WAN port
Compared to its predecessor d-link ax5400, the d-link ax6000 is equipped with a 2.5Gbps wan port compared to a standard 1Gigabit wan port like wifi-6 routers in general. Today.
Today, there are many devices need to connect to the internet, including smart homes and IoT devices, so the demand for very wide bandwidth internet plan is high, especially in the midst of a pandemic where many employees work from home using webcams as well as students who are still learning online from homes. With ready to higher speed internet plan, d-link ax6000 with 2.5Gbps WAN port will compete better with similar products that are equipped with 2.5Gbps WAN port such as the new tp-link product Archer ax90.
Today you don’t have to worry about the availability of 2.5Gbps WAN port considering that there are few products are ready with this high speed internet plan such as Arris Surfboard s33 DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem or Netgear CM2000.
Look at the comparison table for the two d-link series below for more details.

In some online stores, the D-link ax6000 is still not widely available and the price is still around $350. Usually a product will drop in price when the product’s performance gets a less good rating in the market.
D-link Dir-x6060 vs Archer ax90 vs Linksys mr9600
At first glance, the appearance of this D-Link x6060 looks like the first era of D-Link AC3200, a simultaneous tri-band AC3200 with WiFi-5 technology, which was successful in the market at that time with reliable performance and now the product has been discontinued. Can this product compete with the new TP-link archer ax90 or the flagship Linksys ax6000 routers?
The following tables show you spec comparison tables for the three products. Table 2 represents spec comparison table between D-link dir-x6060 vs TP-link Archer ax90, while table 3 does between D-link x6060 vs Linksys mr9600.
These three products provide signals in two separate radio bands with a total bandwidth of up to 6,000Mbps except the Archer ax90 which adds an additional radio band @5GHz with a total bandwidth of up to 6,600Mbps.
All three routers support 4×4 MU-MIMO, if there are few devices at home that supports 2×2 MU-MIMO, the router will send two data streams to two devices simultaneously, thereby reducing network latency. Check out Archer tx3000 and Asus ax3000 adapters that support 2×2 MU-MIMO.
2.5Gbps WAN port
Why is your router’s wan port equipped with high speed 2.5Gbps Ethernet port if the existing cable modem is only up to 1gbps and the internet plan is only 300Mbps? If your internet needs later increase up to 2gbps, then the d-link x6060 or archer ax90 is ready so you need to replace your cable modem with the one that comes with 2.5gbps Ethernet port such as the Surfboard s33 or Nighthawk cm2000. And ask your ISP to increase the bandwidth up to 2gbps.
The d-link x6060 and archer ax90 both offer the same 2.5Gbps Ethernet wan port, except they differ between dual and three band radios. Pay attention to the following table 2 below for a more detailed comparison of d-link ax6000 vs archer ax6600.

The USB port on the router is very useful when you need USB hard disk storage that can be accessed via network so that you can save data / images on laptops / Smart phones to the hard disk that is connected to the router.
Connect the USB hard disk to the router and through your laptop you can detect it by network browsing and according to the access security you configure, you can read or write data on the storage.
