What this product does

The models of both series of Zenwifi system either wifi-6 based series or wifi-ac based series, both are designed with the same physical model with two types of colors, white and charcoal. CT8 is designed based on wifi ac3000 technology delivers speeds of up to 400Mbps @2.4GHz plus up to 867Mbps @5GHz 1 and up to 1733Mbps @5GHz -2.

Flexible backhaul link

Unlike other mesh wifi system models in general that use dedicated backhaul link for communication between nodes, Asus Zenwifi CT8 and XT8 designs its backhaul link that you can choose between two @ 5GHz bands, or wired backhaul using Ethernet port.

Both Linksys Velop and eero Pro do not use dedicated wifi backhaul link, all connected clients and communication between nodes use and share all the three radio bands, no dedicated wifi link between nodes.

Wifi speeds

In the specs written by each vendor, of course Asus Zenwifi CT8 provides speeds that are higher than its two rivals. Of course, in the real world you will find different conditions, the Eero Pro which is written in spec that shows the lowest speed but in the real world Eero Pro provides excellent performance and consistent WFI signals. You can follow the product link below later and see how good the reviews of eero. See also the spec comparison between eero pro vs velop vs orbi mesh wifi systems.

Try to note the Flash memory embedded in each o the model, all three use a quad core processor but the accompanying memory has different capacities. Pay attention to eero pro with 4GB of Flash memory as well as Linksys Velop AC4400, and compare with Zenwifi CT8 that has only 128MB flash memory.

Flash memory is used to store system programs or apps and all current system’s and stored data are not deleted even if the router is turned off. How complex the system / app in the union requires the greater capacity of flash memory to store it.
