Asus RT-AC3200 the Fastest Wifi Router for Consumer
A new breakthrough Asus RT-AC3200 router provides twice the bandwidth wider than RT-AC1800 the fastest router today.
We know that the wifi network shares the available bandwidth to all devices connected to it. So, more and more devices connect to the network cuncurrently the smaller bandwidth is used by each of the device because they must share with all existing devices.
Obviously if you expect all of your wifi devices get wider bandwidth each of them, the use of a router with high data rate throughput is worth to consider. If your current router is based on wireless ac1800, eg Asus RT-AC68U or Linksys EA6800 that use wireless ac1800 technology, you may consider the new Asus wireless AC3200-based router – the Asus RT-AC3200 that provides total bandwidth of up to 3200Mbps, twice as fast as current wireless ac1800-based router.
What this product does
How come this wide bandwidth be implemented in this router? Doubled, because there are two bands wireless ac1300 and one band wireless n600 with a total bandwidth of up to 3200Mbps. This is a high bandwidth router ever made so far for home or small busineses. This is ideal router should you build wifi network to support bunch of wifi devices including laptops, mobile devices (Android and iPads) and other multimedia player with wifi connection. This is what Asus announced at Computex 2014 with its flagship product RT-AC3200, a three band router ever made for consumers.
- Built in Broadcom chip with 6-stream wireless ac
- Provides total data rate of up to 3200Mbps (three bands), consits of 802.11n : up to 450Mbps or 802.11n TurboQAM : up to600Mbps; and 802.11ac: up to 2600 Mbps (5G band 1 and 5G band 4)
- Maximize performance with Smart connect technology
- Bearmforming antenna technology with 6x external antennas, wifi devices with beamforming antenna can take advantage of this technology for solid wifi connection – following the device whereever it moves
- Adaptive QoS
- Included total security protection with Trend Micro
- 4-gigabit LAN and 1x gigabit WAN interfaces and 2x USB ports (1x USB 3.0 and 1x USB 2.0) are suitable for wired connection to desktops, Blu-ray players or any other ethernet-based devices. DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem can be used (such as Surfboard Arris SBG6141) . You can to the router both printer and USB storage either Superspeed USB 3.0 storage or standard USB 2.0 storage.

For large number of wifi devices
With these features are certainly redundant should you use it for your small home, of course, it is suitable to support wifi services for large number of wifi devices such as in café, or wifi hotspots and good if your desktop computers are equipped with Asus PCE-AC68 wireless PCI adapter or any other wireless ac adapters.
Asus RT-AC3200 Vs Netgear R8000 Vs Linksys EA9200
Currently there are some similar wireless AC3200 routers available in the market including Netgear R8000 Nighthawk X6; Linksys EA9200 and also D-link 890L. All of these routers come with the same Wireless AC3200 technology delivering three band with total bandwidth of up to 600Mbps in 2.4GHz band and two 5 GHZ bands delivering bandwidths of up to 1300Mbps + 1300Mbps.
Asus AC3200 is equipped with 6 external antennas, it looks very strong and rigid. Unlike the Asus AC3200, Netgear R8000 which is also equipped with 6 external antennas looks more graceful. The antennas can be folded neatly covering its body when it should be stored or packed into the box.
On the other hand, Linksys EA9200 is designed differently with six active antennas, three antennas are mounted externally while the other three antennas are embedded internally. All the antennas are designed with 3×3 transmit and receive configuration.
Smart connect technology
Some types of previous models of wireless routers could only support selectable dual-band, you can only use one of the bands either 2.4GHz or 5GHz band. The bad thing is that users frequently find it difficult connecting to the network due to having no idea which band the device works on. Wireless router with simultaneous dual band, you can connect either 2.4GHz or 5GHz band. In three band wireless router with smart connect technology the router assigns the best band to each of individual client.
You can compare Asus RT-AC3200 with Netgear R8000 and Linksys EA9200, all of them come with the same smart connect technology that becomes must have technology in three band routers.
Dual WAN support
Should you require constant Internet connection and no compromise of internet disruption, you should consider this router. Asus RT-AC3200 router comes with dual WAN support. You can configure one of Ethernet LAN port to act as the WAN port (EWAN) in addition of the available WAN port. The beauty of this feature is that they can work as failover, when the main WAN port is interrupted and not available for some reasons, the system will failover to the other WAN (EWAN) port.
Netgear R8000 and Linksys EA9200 do not have this feature.
Asus RT-AC3200 comes with AiCloud – a personal cloud storage services you can share with any of your networks that belongs to you or even your friends network can get access too. Asus provides you AiCLoud mobile apps you download from your mobile devices including Android and iOS Apple Smartphone.
Netgear R8000 and Linksys EA9200 don’t feature this cloud services. However you can create a personal FTP server with customized free URL to create FTP server.
When is it released?
